Show and Tell Friday - Two Happy Little Girls

Show and Tell I am joining in on Kelli's Show and Tell Friday. Visit her and enjoy all the treasures being shared.

I wanted to show you a picture that hangs in my living room that came from my husband's parents. Both of his dear parents have been gone for quite a few years now and we still miss them.
This is a photograph of two little girls having fun playing a guitar, singing and dancing.

This used to hang above the piano in my mil's home. And I am thinking of moving it near my piano, too. The musical theme would fit.

It appears that while the girl on the left accompanies her, the sweetheart on the right is singing and dancing along with her song:)
I wonder whom they are entertaining?

I love their dresses! These two precious girls look like sisters --maybe even twins. But I do know that they were not our relatives.

I have always liked this picture and was just happy to have it.
I think I will start asking some of my husband's relatives if they have any information to offer about how this picture came to the family. My husband's aunt and uncle were antique dealers, so I will start there:)

No matter where this picture came from,--it makes me smile everytime I look at it:) I hope you enjoy seeing it, too!

Very nice picture. Seems my father had tons of pictures that were all family but he never knew them! I'm sure this might be the case with this picture. But it is adorable and it brings a smile to your face and a happy memory of where it once hung! Enjoy your day!

Yes!!! I love the framed art, and I too would have it near the piano. A perfect place for it.

My show n tell is finally posted. It's not much this week, but it's something. LOL

Vintage photos are so fascinating, aren't they? It would be fun to find out more about the history of this picture, but even if you never found out another little detail about it, its just plain charming as it is...and yes, displayed alongside your piano would be a great idea. :-)

Oh...and thank you for tagging me for picture tag! I'll go and unearth that fourth folder photo and blog about it next week...hope its not something too crazy! lol

What a neat and insteresting picture! I love the idea of putting it near your piano. Your picture reminds me of me and my sister b/c she plays guitar and we sing together. I'm trying to learn to play the mandolin so we can play together too. Wish I had a picture like yours. Thanks for sharing! :o)

What a cute picture ! I think they must be twins. I have a picture of my mother with her sister in similar dresses, it must have been taken around 1920.

It is a lovely picture. So sweet of two little girls that must have had a audience while they performed. They are too dressed up not to have someone watch them, don't you think?

The two little girls make a such a lovely pair. I hope that you do get an answer to your question, of who they were.

Hi Linda!! I don't know how I missed your show and tell but I'm here now! This picture is simply precious! I let go of one I had and didn't have a story for and now regret it. :( Keep asking til you find someone who knows!!

Thanks for visiting me and sharing your birdy stories!! My little "passion" for birds began with fat birds, and it seems now that birds of all kinds are in every store I go into!! They always try to fly right into my basket or hands!! LOL!!!

Have a glorious Sunday!!
Blessings,
Becky
