Sonya at
Truth 4 The Journey has invited us to join her and list of five things for which we are thankful.
1) I am thankful for lessons that God is teaching me these days. I remember thinking in my younger years that by the time I would be in my fifties surely I would have things all figured out and life would be smooth. Well, maturity does bring some wisdom, I hope:), but I've found that here I am-- with still sooo much to learn. And, faithfully, God keeps working on my heart. Thank you Lord for grace and mercy. Those are to be my first response to others also.
2) I am thankful a trip home from Pittsburgh planned by Ben and Lisa and little Sophia for mid-October! Yes, we will get to see that precious granddaughter again soon! Thank you Lord for joyful surprises in our lives.
3) I am thankful for my hard-working husband, who is faithful to his employers and does his best there. And his is also faithful to his family with love and care at home. Thank you Lord, for bringing us together those years ago:)
4) I am thankful for the beauty of the earth. The fall colors are starting to peek out here and there... God's creation brings beauty and joy to our lives each day. Thank you Lord, the mighty Creator.
5) I am thankful for kind friends who take the time to call and stay close. What a blessing they are! Thank you Lord and please bring them to mind often and make time, so that I am a faithful friend also.

I love your number 1. I want to keep those things in mind too. :) You have a wonderful list!!
Hi Sweetie,
I was just talking about your #1 a little while ago. I said that it seems that the longer I live, and the more I know of God, the less I know about anything!! And that's OK!!! It just helps me to rely more fully on HIM!!
Thanks for sharing, Linda! Hope your weekend is lovely!!
Love n hugs,
Becky
I loved reading your list of blessings. It made me smile. Thank you*! (((hugs))) _Ashley*
Love your list! I so agree with #1. Sometimes I think if only I could back to my 20's, knowing what I know now but then think, I still don't have it all together!! And need to learn more and be more in tune with the Lord. Hope your day was a good one!!!
I love your humble, teachable heart! Have you ever heard a song by Dave Irish, "The More I Learn, The Less I Know"? It's a great song.
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind words about my daughter's video. Have a blessed weekend, Linda!
I join you in gratitude that God continues to work on and in me:-)
Blessings,
Mary
Linda, that is a great list as always! I can so identify with your #1. I can remember as a kid in grade school thinking I would be 40 at the turn of the century and I thought that my life would be over and I would be old! Oh, the foolishness of a kid. To think I didn't marry or have a child until after 40 and I think of all that the Lord has taught me and is teaching me now that I am past 40! Thanks so much for sharing your heart. Hugs, Elena
We do have so much to be thankful for. God is faithful and always good!
