Our daughter was drenched as she walked to class by a passing car. She sat through her class miserable and cold and decided to drive home to change. When she left the parking lot, the water was about as high as it is on this blue car in the first photo. This flooding was reported after she got home- she just missed the major flooding that affected 45 cars in the lot. Madison got 2.3" of rain by late morning and a record 3.6" by the end of the day. Please pray for those students/families whose cars were damaged...
Happy WW! Unbelievable the amount of rain that has fallen all over our country, isn't it? So happy to hear your daughter is safe and dry and missed the major flooding. I live in the Atlanta area and have been extremely fortunate not to have had any flooding like so many have here. Prayers go out to all who are affected.
This is a lot of rain. My dad told me last night that Atlanta, Georgia is terribly flooded in areas. He's from Georgia, so it hit him close to the heart.
I'm so glad that your daughter made it out before her car got damaged! The last time it rained 3 inches at my house in WV we were flooded in for 3 days! That was a good 10 years ago.
Those pictures speak volumes. So sorry about the misfortune of the flooding in your area. You have a lovely blog and I will be back. Thanks for stopping by on WW!
Wow, what a bummer that had to happen to people's cars. I know college is expensive anyway and added expense is hard. I'm glad Amanda was not injured and her car was OK!

Wow, those are incredible pictures. We have had water in our basement, many times, but thankfully never in the main floor.
